WEDM technology has been widely used in various fields of production and processing.As there is no macro-force, free from the effects of workpiece material hardness.WEDM can machining difficult-to-machine materials, the complex surface and the parts with special requirements.How to expand the application scope of WEDM is always the focus of WEDM research.The processing of rotary surface by WEDM is studied in this thesis.Firstly, this thesis introduces the principle and characteristics of EDM. The development of processing that the parts with complex surface in the domestic and foreign is summarized. And the principle and development process of parts with rotary surface machined by WEDM is studied.The subject content and research methods of the thesis are discussed. The set-up that machining rotary surface by WEDM is analyzed.And a viable program of rotating principal axis is designed. The movement rules of processing are obtained.The rotary surfaces that can be machined by WEDM are discussed. The graphical programming methods in the processing of rotary surface by WEDM-HS are explored.The mathematical model of removal volume and efficiency are gained.The method that how to describe the loss of electrode wire is analyzed.In this paper,the influencing factors of surface roughness in the processing of rotary surface by WEDM-HS is also studied.And the surface roughness mathematical model of rotary surface processing by WEDM is gained in ideal conditions.The differential equations of multi-freedom string's lateral vibration are gained.The negative effects of electrode wire's vibration and its sources are researched.And the measures that can reduce the electrode's vibration are anslyzed.Finally,the wire electrode's vibration mode is analyzed by ANSYS.The wire electrode's vibration mode in the processing of rotary surface by WEDM is different from the mode in general WEDM.The mode of wire electrode in the processing of rotary surface by WEDM differs with the change of span and tension.The natural frequencies can be increased if block-oriented devices are added.The mode of the wire electrode based on Soft Contract Theory is analyzed.The Results showed that the simplification of wire electrode as straight string is reliable.
