Furniture is the indispensable supplies in our daily life and working, it not only facilitate people living and working comfort, but also to give aesthetic pleasure and the spirit of the enjoyment of pleasure. As an important component of furniture industry, Kitchen furniture has made considerable progress in product size, manufacturing processes and standard, materials applications and other aspects in recent years. But the industry standard is imperfect, not professional services of installation, which restricts the development of the cabinet industry.This paper introduces structural analysis theory and finite element method, using finite element analysis software ANSYS plate frame structure in the cupboard under the load, the overall structural strength analysis of the plate for the structural design of furniture and furniture engineering design new approach.1. Establish the plate framework of the three-dimensional structural model of cabinets by CAD software Solidworks, then import cabinets framework structure model into ANSYS procedures with ANSYS and Solidworks data exchanger, re-establishing finite element model in the process of ANSYS finally.2. Adopt ANSYS software simulation shelves of the main weighted parts of framework cabinet under loading of force, then simulated two installation forms of overall framework cabinet structure, such as hanged cabinets and bottom-supported cabinet, and impose uniform load on their shelves and base plate, carry out ANSYS analysis ultimately.3. In view of above-mentioned same structural forms of shelves and overall cabinets, under the same material, loads impose ways, carry out the same mechanical properties test.4. Contrast to ANSYS analysis data and experimental data and reach the difference degree, found the shelf test results and ANSYS analysis result close, but the test result of overall cabinet and cabinets and ANSYS structural analysis of the difference is relatively large.The mainly innovation of the paper is a new method about the structural mechanics analysis of furniture, through experiment and ANSYS analysis, research the application and reliability of the finite element method in the furniture industry.
