Designs For A New Type Of Volleyball Catapult

Supported by the Olympic Games science and technology special sub topic project, based on the development of the volleyball training system which can buckle and serve a volleyball,this paper makes a design of the catapult.Firstly this paper makes an introduction of the volleyball buckle device which has already been manufactured,and analyses the basic capacity and the questions.Then makes deep analyses of and researches on the present state of all kinds of catapults.Based on this, analyses of the characteristics and the differences of all kinds of ball hitting components are made.Leaf spring is selected as its hitting part,and the preliminary designs for a ball hitting component are made.The drive characteristics of hydraulic transmission,pneumatic transmission and electrical gearing are analyzed,and electrical gearing is selected.Then the drive characteristics of many kinds of actuating machanism after combination,are analyzed,and a ball hitting system and a ball feeding system are separately designed.At last a new type catapult is primarily designed out.The animation simulation demonstration is carried on in SolidWorks,and the result indicates that the catapult is able to run coordinately.This paper makes researches on theoretical analysis and technical realization about the volleyball catapult.The result provides a theoretical basis not only to develop the ball hitting system and the ball feeding system,but also to design a complete ball hitter.
