Fracturing Was Developed Using A Multi-ball Ball Thrower

The ball sealer fracturing is suitable for small spacing formation where packer can not be used to separate the oil and gas formation after perforated, As one kind of separate-layer fracturing technique which widely used in western Sichuan achieved relatively good performance. With the continuous development of the sealer fracturing, customers raised new requirements for ball delivery devices.Based on the research of ball plugging mechanism during ball sealer fracturing,summarized that the balls casted exactly,rapidly and repeatedly affect the performance of ball sealer fracturing directly. Aiming at problems most ball injector existed such as:complex structure, expensive, small quantity of loading balls, low security. This paper designed a new ball injector and made some works as follows:(1) Based on the research of ball injector in domestic and international, learned the working principle, functional requirements and operation process of ball injector. According to the requirements raised by customers, completed the structural design of ball injector.(2) Based on the elastic-plastic theory, calculated and analyzed the main bearing parts of ball injector using the software ANSYS. The results proved that the main bearing parts can meet the design requirements.(3) Based on the completion of ball injector design and the analysis and calculation, manufactured the ball injector prototype, and made the test plan to further verify wether the ball injector can meet the requirements of customers.
