Camshaft is very important part of automobile engine and other internal combustion engines. Their machining quality and efficiency directly influences the quality of car products. Along with the enhancement of environmental protection awareness, the characteristic of high environmental protection performance, low emissions, low consumption and low pollution are getting more and more important in engine's performance requirements. This tendency calls for improving the camshaft processing quality and raising its processing efficiency.Firstly, this paper puts forword the preliminary analysis for the application of NC automatic program techniques in the field of grinding based on the literature reviews.Put forward the development of automatic programming system for CNC Camshaft purpose and main content.In-depth study of cam lift and cam profile between the mathematical model of transformation based on an analysis of the actual processing caused by the radius of dressing changes and the margin of the cam grinding accuracy. Through the simulation and the procedure for the preparation of sub-wheel cam provides a guide to the actual processing.This paper use C++Builder as the platform and based on the mathematical model, the software of automatic program of cam grinding is created, from which NC code that can be directly used for numerical control grinding machine is achieved after setting the correlative parameter.Smart Select the process parameters by combine automatic programming module optimization module (genetic algorithm and neural network), so as to improve process quality and process efficiency. Considering Numerical control system if different, post-processing based on NC program templates and design parameters of the method was employed, greatly improving the automatic programming system for flexible and scalable capacity.Based on the analysis of features of camshaft NC virtual grinding technology, combined Database Technology, Computer compilation technology and Image processing technology, a camshaft NC virtual grinding programming system was developed. The contour of image was obtained through chain - code tracking,Aimed at feat ures of NC machining, through error analysis the X-C for camshaft profile was automatic adjusted.Several realization methods of key technologies of the system were given. Demonstrated that the expression used as a suffix of the feasibility of intermediate code.Makes the numerical control system based on different procedures for the preparation of intermediate code can be unified.The test for the software of automatic program if alse run, and the stability and veracity of running are verified.the software interfaces are compact and nice, and can operate simply and conveniently.use Automatic generation of numerical control programming software for the processing of the experimental procedure, Though the gather and analysis of the experiments data, The results show that the programming software automatically generated the correct NC program is feasible.the anticipate goal of development have already achieved.
