The optical glass with high refractive index and high dispersion is of very important significance to simplify the optical systems and to improve the quality of imaging in the field of optical design and optical communication, this kind of optical glass is required very urgently by the further miniaturization of the mobile phones and digital cameras. It becomes an important research topic of the global glass workers to research and produce the optical glass with the refractive index more than 2.0.This article focused on the formula, the raw materials and the production processes of this optical glass, carry out a detailed analysis and discussion of the problems appeared in the development and production process such as coloring, crystallization, chemical stability and the environmental protection, and solve these problems well. In this paper, La-B system is the foundation. With the introduction of other network-oxide to interfere with the glass crystallization, a stable, environmental protective optical glass with high refractive index and high dispersion obtained.
