Polymer alpha-olefin oil(PAO) is one of the important synthetic lubricants.In this paper,Oligomer of 1-decene was synthesized with Ziegler-Natta catalyst which consisited of TiCl4 and Et2AlCl.And scale-up test have been done based on small experiment.The effects of temperature,Al/Ti ratio,time,reaction solvent,and the amount of catalyst on polymerization behaviors were investigated.The results showed that the catalyst system was desirable for the oligomerization of 1-decene to prepare lubricant.The yield increased with increasing catalyst amount,temperature and time,mole ratio of alumina to titanium. However,Ⅳand v100℃ decreased with the reaction factors mentioned above.And the optimum reaction conditions were:reaction temperature 85℃,reaction time 4h and the catalyst mass fraction in reaction system 4.0%,the Al/Ti molar ratio were 1.0.The oligomer obtained was characterized with 1H NMR,13C NMR,GPC.Those results indicated that the oligomer of 1-dencene in this paper had lower degree of branching and preferable viscosity-temperature characteristic which was consisting of dimer,trimer, tetramer,and pentamer.Hydrogenation reduction of unsaturated double bond are carried out thoroughly.Higher N-Alkanes and Methylene content are approved.Long-chain alkane is the main hydrocarbon component of oligmer.The 13C NMR data also implied that chain propagation of the oligomer involved primarily head to tail 1,2-insertions,as well as head-to-head and tail-to -tail 2,1-insertions.GPC test result showed that molecular weight distribution close to normal distribution,the oligmer had narrower distribution width.
