Rolling mill is the main equipment in rolling process in heavy plate,hot(cold-rolled)strip mills with high manufacture precision,large volume and heavy weight.Its housing installation is a key link in hot(cold-rolled) strip mills construction projects.Usually,the housing(mill housing frame)is monobloc casted and processed. Such as Bao Steel 5M heavy plate,hot(cold-rolled) strip mill in LY Steel and XISC are monobloc casted.Up to now,the monobloc casting technology and technical innovation of mill has been improved greatly;both CFHI and China ErZhong can manufacture such housing in domestic.Welding model housing has been developed abroad already namely block casting and processing and then welding assembled and finish machining.In recent years the bolt connection type housing has been developed witch is divided into upright column,top and nether transverse beam,casting and processing respectively,then assembled and connected with bolts in site.In a word, current trend for every type of housing is large volume and heavy weight.With the advancement and development of rolling technology,the design and manufacture of rolling mill is more advance and economical than before,accordingly the higher requirements for installation technology are needed.This mainly manifested in the difficulties of installation and emplacement of housing.And also,with the concept of saving materials and energy resources,and reduce investment outlay is the main factor in shop design that mainly meets the need for maintenance and overhaul, the height of shop and lifting capacity of crane is lower which give three difficulties to installation:first is the crane problem,second is design the special lifting tools,third is foundation fixing.Take one steel company as an example;its 4.3M heavy plate rolling mill is the oversize mill in both domestic and abroad with advanced technology and high manufacture precision especially the single housings which is large size and heavy weight.The single housing is divided into 4 parts to enter the site and assembled in site;the lifting capacity in shop cannot meet the lifting demand.That is to say,the installation cannot use the traditional way.Therefore,new techniques shall be made based on the practical needs investigation.So"the technology and process of eccentric rotating balancing method used in lifting and assembly of oversize equipment"is preparatory developed to meet the needs of heavy plate rolling mill construction.Such method may "bringing a heavy fist out of a light one"and ensure the construction progress with resource saving and good for environmental protection so that can creates good economy and society benefits.
