The current problems encountered in the processes of the design and operation of the FGD system in the power plant are analyzed.Take the FGD system of Cangdong power plant for example,the paper studied on the operating parameters(pH value,density and so on),slurry quality in desulfurization tower,corrosion and wastewater treatment and so on. Through the analysis we conclud that when it burns the coal of general sulphur share,the system can be in the best running state if pH=4.8,the density is in the range of 1085kg/m3~1095kg/m3 and the slurry level is in 11m~11.5m;pH in absorption region should be controlled under 4 so as to avoid corrosion;the limiting factor of maximum output is the absorption tower when it burns high sulfur coal;the optimal value of the dosage in wastewater treatment is obtained.
