This dissertation reviews microorganism immobilization and the process on treatment of industrial cyanide-containing wastewater both at home and abroad. Based on the current situation and existing problems, the detailed research progress is presented.Activated Carbon Fiber(ACF) is a kind of highly effective absorbent. It has the character of large specific surface area and swift-adsorbing. Cyanide in the wastewater can be available removed by modified Activated Carbon Fiber. There are advantages of low cost, brief operation and high removing efficiency. The microstructure of ACFs are changed by chemical method. In still state, we studied ACF's adsorption affecting factors, and we found the original concentration of cyanide, time of adsorption, pH and so on all have effects on interaction between ACF and the cyanide.Through reverse emulsion method, Activated Carbon/PVA magnetic material were prepared by adding glutaraldehyde as crosslink reagent in the presence of Fe3O4 magnetic fluid in paraffin medium, the capability of material were tested. The results show that this material have fast sorption velocity in different concentration cyanide and reach to the sorption balance within two hour. The sorption ratio is up to 84%.The high efficiency microbes B350 were immobilized on the Polyurethane Foam(PUF). The effects of initial cyanide concentration and temperature on the remove of cyanide were investigated. Comparing with free microbes, we found that cyanide-stability and degradative efficiency of immobilized microorganism had been improved, which indicate that immobilized microorganism has the obvious character that is not affected by environmental factor easily. The dynamical mode which the immobilized microorganism degrades cyanide was built, and then, the kinetic parameters were determined by non-linear curve fit. The dynamical mode provided theory for the application which the immobilized microorganism degrades cyanide.
