The production process and exploitation quantity of crude oil are affected severely accompanied with the the precipitation of paraffin wax and condensation on the interior walls of the oil pipes. So, many wax removal technologies were developed. In this paper, a method for removing paraffin wax based on high-frequency dielectric heating effect is researched.Water has high-loss characteristics in high-frequency condition, that will make the temperature rise quickly to remove paraff wax. In this paper, Based on the composite dielectric theory, high-frequency dielectric characteristic of water is analyzed and based on multi-mixed distribution statistical theory, high-frequency dielectric characteristic of water-paraffin and oil-water is analyzed, and focused on analyzing the impact of water content. Which can provide theoretical reference for removing paraffin wax based on high-frequency dielectric heating effect. The transient electric field of composite dielectric between concentric cylindrical electrodes is simulated using ANSYS software, and the temporal and spatial distributions of electric field intensity and potential are gotten. Finally the electric field and temperature field is coupled using ANSYS Parametric Design Language. Not only the temperature changes between the electrodes can be observed, but also the dielectric characteristics and the heating effects to hydrated paraffin under different voltage will be refleced truely. The results show that, the temperature of the hydrated paraffin will reaches 60℃under the voltage of 3500V, the frequency for 27.12MHZ, the time at 30s .Then it will melt.Combined with the actual working condition of the well, the structure and size of the capacitive high-frequency heating removal paraffin model are established, the heating power of the model is gained under different voltage and a certain heating frequency. At the same time, the PTFE which prevent short-circuit from happening in the melting state of the paraffin has less loss was confirmed, and Hydrated Paraffin has more loss, which attests to the rationality of the structural design of the model.
