On the basis of the investigation on the drilling solid waste produced by Sinopec Puguang gas field, characteristics of drilling solid waste and the polluting situation are analyzed in this paper. In the meantime, the advantages and disadvantages of its treatment in Puguang gas field are investigated, and the process of this treatment are divided into four steps. In order to make gas field developing projects become more environment--friendly, more economical and sustainable development, a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) system is discussed on the basis of the traditional LCA in this paper, which is suitable to evaluate the gas field drilling solid waste treatment work. It contains environment, economy and technology three factors and is demonstrated by the example. This LCA system provide basic data to the manager and governor, at the same time it is benefit for constructing more ecological and economically sustainable gas field drilling solid waste treatment work.By the calculation of LCA model, we can obtain the environmental impact potential of these two treatments. On the premise of environmental benefits, we calculated out the weight of solidified burial methord of cutting and drilling fluid is 0.314, which is lower than the weight of resource utilization 0.686; on the premise of economic interests, the weight of solidified burial methord is 0.531, but the weight of resource utilization is 0.469. When we concern the technical performance of the two methord, we find the weight of solidified burial methord which is 0.459 is lower than the weight of the other methord which is 0.541. The resource utilization is the optimum scheme finally.
