Design Of Metal Detection System Based On DSP

Application of metal detectors has become more and more widely in modern social life. The range of application is very large. It has developed into the protective detection and quality and safety detection of aviation, mining, metallurgy, cement, food, etc from the initial application in mine detection and detection of underground metal. At the same time, the function of metal detectors also need to constantly improve.In order to adapt to the requirements of the industrial production, the development of more stable, more reliable, more user-friendly metal detection devices are a very important topic. The main work of this paper includes the design of signal detection module, signal processing module, the design of detection algorithm and implementation. Thesis describes the single excitation coil, two receiver coil eddy current sensor design. Thesis designs a hardware platform which uses TMS320F28335 as the core processor, MAX1338 as the AD chip. And to achieve sensor signal and excitation signal acquisition and digital signal processing. Calculation the sensor signal and excitation signal' s phase and amplitude by FFT, Drawn the results of metal detector through the threshold compare and be achieve through the CCS. In addition, in order to enable the system to have a good interactive interface, the system is also equipped with liquid crystal display and keyboard.
