With the progressive growing demand for high-quality clean energy and fuel, such as natural gas, quiet great progress has been made in the engineering techniques'level of natural gas long-distance transmission. Pipeline network transmission system gradually becomes more complicated. On the one hand, to analyze and deal with the accident-operating of the pipeline system, to prove and put forward the rational operation scheme; on the other hand, the production, supply and sell of natural gas directly are influenced by operation conditions of the pipeline systems. So, we should find out mutual influence and flowing relation among each parameter in the pipe network, to make its rational scheduling and optimizing running.The operation condition optimization analysis of Sichuan to East pipeline is discussed in this paper; according to many information which I have gathered, many schemes of the pipeline are computed for some typical scenarios by means of SPS: such as compressor set, fault analysis and relief gas. From the discussion on the optimal schemes, some basic rules are shown, which will be helpful to the decision-making on the operation and the later expansion of the pipeline.The software SPS has been used to analyze technology system: except for compressor set, undercoat and technology flexibility, operation of branch along the pipeline, operation of leakage and jam are also analyzed. Variable of parameters of gas pipeline are described by graphs in normal operation, it can study blow down time and survival time of natural gas pipeline. It also can be used to evaluate feasibility and rationality of design, meanwhile to instruct operation of the pipeline and increase economic effect.
