The oil production method using progressive cavity pump (PCP) is more and more widely used in the area of oil exploitation, so much attention is paid on how to improve the production design and management. The production analysis and parameters optimum method of PCP with surface driving is established using nodal system analysis method and oil well production numerical simulation technology regarding PCP with surface driving as research object. Three models including the 3-dimension wellbore track design model, the theoretical fixing position model of rod string's localizer in lean-well and the mechanics analysis model of rod string with localizer and centralizer are built considering usage of the PCP with surface driving production method in lean-well. The relevant calculation software is programmed which can proceed comprehensive computation to various production possibilities of production devices and technologies which can make optimum results much more operable and have the ability to carry sensitivity analysis. The effects of rotated speed and pumping depth to liquids production and lifting efficiency are analyzed. The following conclusion is induced by practical well analysis, that is, it is necessary that to optimize oil well production devices based on oil-well and reservoir's conditions in order to make it economically and efficiently production considering no matter the oil production or lifting efficiency. The application results show that the calculation models built in this paper have considerable precision when taking oil production, well top's torque and well bottom's pressure as verification targets. The results are as follows: the average error between design production and practical production is 9.05%; the relative error between well top torque's calculation value and test value is -8.06%~11.92%; the maximum relative error between well bottom pressure calculation value and test value is 2.75%,while the average error is 0.79%.This research will play a significant role in production optimum design of PCP with surface driving well and improve production effect and beneficial result.
