As increasing of the crude oil water content and emulsion stability, the crude oil dehydration becomes more difficult. Traditional oil dehydration power supply can not satisfy practial requirements. To solve this problem, the author's belonged team has developed the crude oil dehydration power supply prototype with alternating rectangular wave, based on inverter technology. Field tests show that the prototype is superior to traditional power supply in dehydration effect, energy saving and controllability, which has great practical value. It has important significance to work for optimization of the prototype, and it is meaningful for developing crude Oil dehydration power supply with better performance, reliability, and automation level.This paper is devoted to optimization of the crude oil dehydration power supply with alternating rectangular wave on the basis of the prototype. In this paper, main circuit and control circuit of the power supply were improved. Also the improved power supply added man-machine interface and PLC optimization controlling module. Besides, the USB data recording and processing module was extended. In the main circuit, this paper introduced the structure and principle of the circuit. The IGBT switching device was replaced by intelligent power module in main circuit. This paper gave out the selection calculation of IPM. Also the IPM interface circuit and the IPM external protection circuit were designed. In control circuit, this paper designed closed loop voltage control circuit based on TL494 chip, frequency and duty circle control circuit based on SG3525 chip. Concerning the man-machine interface and PLC optimization controlling module, this paper presented the requirements analysis, hardware selection, and hardware connection in detail. Also the related PLC controlling software was designed. In addition, this paper proposed the control methods of segmented constant voltage and current, and the control methods in automatic mode. And related software of the control methods was designed. The data recording and processing module accomplished automic monitoring and recording of the power supply's parareters. This function was realized by hardware design of USB interface circuit, sampling circuit, analog-digital conversion circuit, timekeeping circuit, and software design of STC89C54RD+ chip microprocessor. Besides, by designing the computer data processing software, this paper realized data analyzing and processing of the power supply.Finally, the paper completed assembly of the whole machine, testing of the hardware and software. The optimization work in this paper has improved performance of the power supply. It also improved the automation level of power supply device for crude oil dehydration. Besides, it has positive effects for dehydration mechanism research and dehydration process optimization, due to the improvement of data monitoring, recording and processing abilitie.
