Existing experimental study on dehydration was short of unified understandingin view of different electrical parameters, crude oil are selected electric fielddehydration lack of theoretical basis. To solve these problems, this article uselaboratory small-scale test system for crude oil dehydration, carried out experimentalstudy under different electrical parameters of dehydration. The specific works are asfollows:The purpose of production and significance about crude oil dehydrationtechnology are briefly introduced. The research status and development trend of thetechnology about electric dehydration for crude oil at home and abroad are brieflydescribed. The main parameters that influence efficiency of electric dehydration forcrude oil are analyzed, and the main electric demulsification mechanism isexpounded.The laboratory small electric dehydration system was perfected accordingto the requirements of the test, this paper introduces the method of emulsion configuration, measurement of experimental data and basic flow of the test. Through the electric dehydration system, the dehydration test was carried out under the action of exchange uniform electric field and exchange of non-uniform electric field, Dc uniform electric field and Dc non-uniform electric field with the flat electrode and vertical hanging electrode, pulsed electric field with different voltage amplitude, frequency and duty ratio. According to the experimental study it can draw the following conclusions:Under the power frequency AC electric fields, with the increase of the strengthof the applied electric field increase, the rate of dehydration is on the rise, but whenthe applied electric field intensity exceeds scattered electric field intensity, thedehydration rate is declining. Under the effect of power frequency AC uniformelectric field, the test of getting the best dehydration of electric field intensity is6kV/cm. Under the effect of non-uniform electric field, the major factors that affect the dehydration effect are electric field non-uniform coefficient, emulsion andelectric field intensity. According to the orthogonal analysis, the electric fieldintensity plays a main influence factor for the dehydration effect under thenon-uniform electric field.Under the DC electric field, the form of electrode and electric field type has asignificant effect on the dehydration effect. By Using the flat hanging electrode, thedehydration effect and the stability of dehydration electric field under uniformelectric field is better than non-uniform electric field. The phenomenon of electricdispersion and short circuit can be reduced by using vertical hanging electroded, andthe dehydration effect of vertical hanging electroded under the non-uniform electricfield is more ideal.When the electric field is pulse field, the optimal dewatering electric field is different when the frequency is different, there is optimal dewatering frequency in the same electric field. According to the measured results, the optimal dewatering electric field is5kV/cm, the optimal dewatering frequency is2kHz under the pulse field. Theduty cycle of pulsed electric field is very important to keep the stability of dehydrated electric field, selecting the different duty cycle at the different time of the dehydration process can effectively improve the efficiency of dehydration effectively and prevent the breakdown caused by water dropping into the chain.
