The Design Of Men's Motion Function Sleeves Based On The Characteristics Of Upper Limb

The design of men's motion function sleeves based on the characteristics of upper limb Postgraduate Student:Lei Cui Supervisor:Zhi-ming Wu Major:Fashion Design and EngineeringWith improvement of people's life,more requirements are asked for wear-comfort in dressing,in which,molitily is a main requirement. Human body is a very complicated curved body; its static state and dynamic state will directly affect the clothes structure which put on it. However, clothing styles and sporting functionality often have contradiction. Hence, the structure design of sleeve and armhole is not only considering clothing styles, but also thinking about the sporting functionality of clothes.The purpose of this paper is to design men's sleeve with motion function based on static human body and dynamically shape changes as the core. It adopted the research methods of theoretical analysis and experimental practice,major steps are as followed: measured the static size of men's relevant parts of upper body,analyzed the static data by mathematical Statistics and received regression equation of men's upper body; through the skin deformation experiments of upper extremity limb-girdle,it revealed the day-to-day movements of the upper limb caused by changes of the skin and summed up the extending main line of upper limb skin and the amount of skin stretching; In the light of skin deformation experiment,it gained the the location and the change of significant deformation of the sleeve parts through analysis and calculation and contrasted the changes of the skin which provided a theoretical basis for pattern design of motion function sleeves. On the basis of two former experiments,the article design a pattern of motion function sleeves,then tested the accuracy through actual production and wearing.Through a series of experiments, this paper brought forward the design principle and method of men's motion functional sleeves after analysis and research which, whether for production or for research,will have a strong role in guiding.
