Automobile lightweight is the main development direction of modern material technique. The application of high strength steel in manufacturing car body, not only reduces the automobile weight, but also improves its security. Since the high strength steel sheet has good yield-tensile, strong distortion and springback deformation will be produced in stamping. It will decrease the manufacture costs of automobile stamping parts and shorten the development cycles of new products to precisely predict the formability of high strength steel based on the finite-element numerical simulation method.The paper tests the material property parameters of dual-phase steel sheet B340/590DP. The molding of B-pillar stiffener in a new saloon car is simulated by using the DynaForm. According to the shape of B-pillar stiffener and simulation result, the preliminary process supplement and blank shape design are delt with. The stamping is simulated, from which the process supplement and blank shape are modified. The orthogonal test and simulation of influencing process parameters for stamping, frictional coefficient, drawing velocity, binder force and the relative location between the binder and punch, are performed, then the parameter group is selected out. According to the optimal parameters, the stamping of B-pillar stiffener can be successfully processed to satisfy the quality requirement. The springback of B-pillar stiffener after its stamping and cutting is also simulated by DynaForm, and the simulation results are consistent with the actual measurement results.
