With the rapid development of the global economy and the continuous progress of science and technology, grin surface grinding machine develops toward high-speed and high-precision direction. The problem of how to evaluate the design quality of precision surface grinder machine is becoming an important task in design process. For this, the research of " design quality and its appraisal of precision surface grinding machine" is proposed based on the National Natural Science Fund Project "Complex mechanical and electrical product quality characteristic's multi-scale coupling and preventive control" (item number: 50, 775, 204) and Zhejiang Natural Science Fund project "Research on the supporting platform of standards implementation and the key technology based on new generation of Geometrical Product Specification (GPS) (Y107334).This paper discusses the formation and transfer law of design quality for precision surface grinding machine, and studies the evaluation techniques for precision surface grinding machine design quality.The first chapter describes the key technologies and the main existing quality problems of precision surface grinding machine, and reviews the research status of the design quality and its transfer law and the appraisal methods. The main research contents of the paper are given.Chapterâ…¡analyzes the formation of product design quality and proposes quality chain model for product design from the new product design process. The methods of customer needs access, screening, and importance degree determination are studied. The two groups of mapping between customer needs and performance requirements, functional requirements and design parameters and process parameter is analyzed based on Quality of House(QoH) and Axiomatic Design(AD) respectively. Chapterâ…¢discusses the building process of appraisal measures of design quality, and constructs the appraisal measures system of design quality for precision surface grinding machine. It analyses the standardization and importance coefficient calculation of appraisal measures. Optimistic coefficient method is applied on the qualitative analysis of appraisal measures. Finally, model of calculating measures importance coefficient is proposed by using improved AHP method based on connection degree.Chapterâ…£analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of design quality appraisal methods and their applications. Design quality appraisal and decision-making methods are presented based on the features of each design stage. Methods of fuzzy logic theory and information axiom of axiomatic design are used for appraisal of design plans respectively and the appraisal example is also presented. And finally, satisfaction principle is used for final comprehensive evaluation of precision surface grinding machine.Chapterâ…¤develops a prototype system of design quality appraisal for precision surface grinding machine based on B/S. The system is developed from the entire appraisal process of design quality. Finally, a example of appraisal for design plan is given.Chapterâ…¥summarizes the main content of the dissertation research, and the research prospect of design quality and its appraisal for precision surface grinding machine is presented.
