Study The Traditional Color Of The Costume In The Opening Ceremony 08 Olympic Games

Since 1980s, countries who hold Olympic Games pay more attention to the demonstration of national culture in opening ceremony. From the theme and content to the stage set and clothing of large performance show, the feature of national culture is demonstrated in every aspect. The soul of national culture is transmitted through the stage of opening ceremony and has deep influence on the national spirit. People around world will understand Chinese culture more visually and intensively, which exercises great influence on transmission of Chinese national culture.This paper will elaborate on the inevitability of opening ceremony's embodiment of features of national culture in Olympic Games from the views of historical background and ideology first. The striking colour in opening ceremony is important part of national culture. Secondly, it will analyze and induce the evolutionary law of Chinese traditional colour culture and Chinese traditional costume colour culture, and expressive feature of Chinese traditional costume colour. Thirdly, through application of traditional culture in examples, the method of carrying on traditional colour culture in costume design of opening ceremony is induced and summarized, and conveyance of rich connotation of Chinese traditional culture is analyzed. Finally, it will summarize the meaning of intercultural communication of costume colour as a semiotic system. Through the above study, I hope China will inherit and develop Chinese traditional culture better in the development of costume design in more large performance shows that it caters for.
