In order to change the status of mainsteam distributor with complex driving system and perfect charging theory, the aim of this paper are designing bell-less top distributor of blast furnace with simple structure, high transmission efficiency and reliable operation and seeking for equation of spiral charging. A new design scheme is put forward and the inclinating rule of chute in spiral charging is formulated on the base of comparing various distributors at home and abroad and investigating the ring charging theory.The drive scheme of distributor is proposed, improved the suspension of rotating cylinder of the distributor, using crank-link, slewing bearing and crank-block as driving mechanism of chute inclination, simplified the driving system, the key components of distributor are designed. Improvements of distributor's cooling, lubrication and sealing are made. Loop water cooling system with adjustable water flow is applied to render transmission parts of distributor working at appropriate temperature. Gas pressure of BF is used as the load on springs so that nitrogen sealed cave opening can automatically adjust itself, seals on the key spots of distributor are designed. Increased the work efficiency of distributor and lessened the using amount of nitrogen.The key transmission parts of distributor are established through using of Pro/E and virtual assembly model of distributor is built, connection detection of the assembly model certificated that the structural design of distributor is right. The simulation of distributor in kinematics and dynamics with using simulation module of Pro/E demonstrated that the distributor can operate as anticipated and meantime the loads on parts coincide with calculated value.Hypotheses of spiral charging are presented with the compared difference between ring and spiral charging. The movement of burden was analyzed, the equations of burden movement on chute and in freeboard are formulated basing on the consideration of continuous tilting effect of the chute on the burden moving. Eventually the landing point radius of burden on burden surface is deduced.According to different definitions of calculating errors, two kinds of spiral charging methods, esseparately is total area and average area, are discussed on the study of spiral charging definition and the forming course of burden-surface and on the assumption that chute inclines by general rule while in spiral charging. Calculating program is presented and calculating results between ring charging and spiral charging are compared, the comparison show that more even burden-surface can be obtained by spiral charging.
