As the front part of ironmaking in blast furnace,burden distribution contains most furnace adjustable variables,such as the governing value opening,the tilting angle of chute and the rotating speed of chute.Reasonable and economical burden distribution is the goal of charging plan.The profile of burden distribution shows a direct impact on the stability of burden descent and the shape of gas flow.Further,it determines the utilization of gas,the stable reaction in the blast furnace,and finally,the quality of molten iron.In view of the current furnace internal environment which is full of dust,high temperature and pressure,and serious absence of online feedback of physical quantities,the requirement standards for monitoring equipment are very rigorous.So,in this case,the related research on charging rules and modeling of burden distribution has a great significance.This thesis chooses the bell-less top as the study object,gives a comprehensive analysis of the charging process.Firstly,force analysis of the charge in each stage of the charging process is conducted considering the charging rules.Then,the matching mathematical models are built.Secondly,the discrete element method is introduced in the burden distribution model research,and the related software EDEM is used to model the bless-less top of Liu Steel N0.2 Blast Furnace.The simulationresults showed the charging process and the burden surface profile in an all-round way.By using EDEM analysis tool,the deflection and other movement rules are found during analyzing the rotating chute.Finally,we start with the sandpile model,study the algorithm of forming the burden surface profile,and using the program technology of computer,develop a specific burden distribution software.In this software,the burden surface profile and ore to coke ratio can be shown in pictures after setting the charging mode and the blast furnace parameters.This dissertation accomplished the burden distribution software,used it to simulate the burden distribution,tested and assessed the charging mode of Liu Steel.EDEM has a very powerful analysis ability,and its simulation is very realistic.The self-developed software runs fast.By combining the two,making the best of the both worlds,we make the blast furnace charging visible,and the research results are helpful to the burden distribution operation optimization.
