Research On The Natural Disasters Of Yuan Dynasty In Shanxi Province

Research on the natural disasters of Yuan Dynasty in Shanxi ProvinceShanxi region has Surrounding river and the mountains inside,and complex terrain, state clearly. Disasters happened in Shanxi has its own characteristics. The results show that, the number of hail and earthquakes recorded in various types of disasters in Shanxi Province in the Year of Disaster in "Yuan Shi", occur most frequently, which were followed by drought, floods, cream disaster, plague of locusts and so on. The author carried out statistics in conjunction with other historical data, disasters descending order as drought, hail, floods and earthquakes, the top three were agricultural disaster.As the spatial distribution, more serious drought and locusts occur in Pingyang Lu, floods and earthquakes is more serious in Taiyuan Lu, hail, frost and wind is more serious in Datong Lu. In Yuan Dynasty in northern and central regions of Shanxi Province, hail, frost, storm and floods were the worst disaster,while earthquakes, locusts, floods and droughts frequently occured in central and southern regions.As the time distribution, floods, hail, cream disaster, plague of locusts frequently occured in summer and autumn, drought mostly occurred in spring and summer. The number of the top four of the disaster the Year of Disaster,in which Consecutive years were longer, are more than 60% of the total Year of Disaster. Throughout Yuan dynaty in Shanxi region, the drought, floods, hail and earthquake disaster showed four different development trend. From another point of view, the early Yuan Dynasty disasters were relatively moderate, major disasters have occurred in the middle and late. It's worth noting that Shanxi province is the worst earthquake disaster area in Yuan dynasty, Yuan Dynasty is the active period of earthquakes in Shanxi Province.
