Natural color silk is obtained by transgenic means, genetic engineering and other methods by which way the silkworm can spit color cocoon. Because of environmental protection and good quality health care of the natural color silk, their development and application is bound to be people's attention.In this paper, the influence of the color of natural color silk fabric which is treated by low concentration of acid, alkali, salt, oxidizing and reducing agent are studied. The results show that the acid treatment produce a greater impact on the chromatic light of natural color silk while the sodium hydroxide treatment produce a greater impact on the surface color depth; sodium hypochlorite has played a oxidizing action on the amino acid, so the natural color silk become yellowing and darken; sodium hydrosulfite treatment can produce a lesser bleaching effect on the natural color silk fabrics.Infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, thermogravity analysis,mechanical properties test are used to discuss the changes on the structure and properties of natural silk color treated by ultrasonic and plasma. The results show that vertical stripes appear on the surface of natural color silk after treatment, the crystallinity decreased, the thermal decomposition temperature become lower, the breaking tenacity and breaking alongation declined, and after the plasma treatment the natural color silk transform yarn to theβ-sheet conformation.The differences of adsorption performance between the natural color silk and normal white silk are compared. Natural color silk wire pairs of Fe2+, NNO and acid orangeⅡin equilibrium adsorption capacity are 5.82mg/g, 2.22 mg/g and 10.45mg/g, are all higher than normal white silk. The adsorption of Fe2+ saturation value of natural color silk is 36.63mg/g which higher than the white silk of 27.7mg/g.The adsorption of Acid OrangeⅡsaturation value of natural color silk is 66.23mg/g while the normal white silk is 48.08mg/g. The effect of 1,2,3,4-butane tetracarboxylic acid (BTCA) finishing on the light fastness of natural color silk are discussed. The results show that the light fastness can increase about 2 grades after finishing.
