Rotary kiln is the the most impotent equipment in cement industry,the performance and running status of the rotary kiln have a major impact on the benefits of cement company.The kiln shell is supported by rollers by which the kiln's stable running can be decided,the roller's broken may cause serious industrial accidents.Because the kiln is placed oblique in the vertical plane,its gravity together with the force cuased by friction between roller and tire will generate a force on roller's axial direction which we called roller's axial force.When the roller's axial force exceed the appropriate range,it may bring serious consequences such as the temperature of the bearing may rapid rise;or the assembly between roller and roller's axial become loose,even the roller sometimes be pushed to the bearing box;or the kiln shell's up and down may out of control. Measuring the roller's axial force can help us judge the roller's work status and prevent the occurrence of industrial accidents.After investigating the maintenance ability of rotary kiln in cement factory status in quo,we find that there is not any but necessary to design kind of instrumentation used to measure the roller's axial force which is worth to generalized. Based on accurate analysis of the axial force on roller,we find out a method to measure the roller's axial force with hydraulic pressure,and correspondingly,we have designed the hydraulic pressure system,the mechanical structures and data processing software.The main theory of this method is like this:using the hydraulic pressure force to push the roller axial,when it comes to a state of equilibrium,the hydraulic pressure force will be equal to the roller's axial force,we can get what we need by calculate the hydraulic pressure.In this thesis,we have analysed the cause of the roller's axial force,compared two different methods,and choose the hydraulic pressure method as the optimal method.Firstly, we designed the hydraulic pressure system,include designing the schematic and choosing appropriate hydraulic pressure component;then,we have designed the mechanical structure,include the middle component which used to coordinate forward and rotation movement and connecting mechanism used to fix the measure instrument onto the bearing box,and use the Pro/Mechanica finite element analysis softwear,we have checked some key parts'static stress; finally,we have designed the data processing program with LabVIEW,the program can collect measuring data and show it with waveform chart,and it also can provide data storage function.The roller's axial force measuring instrument we designed can be used without stoping the kiln.This instrument handled easily,and the measuring data is accurate.If this instrument can be generalized,it will improve the maintenance ability of the cement factory,and it will has a broad market prospec.
