The pelletizing method of grate-rotary kiln is the main method of producing pellet materials. The slagging problem has been a difficult problem in the practical production near the export of rotary kiln. The slagging can not only make the process worse, but also cause economic losses. Moreover, that can also make the staff dangerous.In this paper, we propose a new method to solve the clearing slagging problem near the kiln exit. We use high-pressure gas to promote the projectiles into the kiln, and then slagging parts are struck down by the projectiles. This method of removing slagging near the rotary kiln exit can not affect the actual production, and also can not bring in impurities to affect the quality of pellet. It provides a new idea and reference for solving the clearing slagging problem near the kiln exit in the future.This paper introduces respectively the friction loss and flow state under the condition of the gas flow in the tube, rotary kiln structure, the working principle of the device of cleaning slagging. Using 3D modeling software SolidWorks, the appearance and structure of the device are designed. Through the user interface module ADAMS/View2013 of the dynamic software ADAMS and the theory of collision contact and friction in ADAMS, the dynamic model of main components are established. Kinds of corresponding constraint are added to the connection points of the model and constraint parameters are set.Through the virtual experiment and test, the displacement and velocity of projectile centroid are obtained with post-processing module of ADAMS/PostProcessor 2013. By changing the tube body elevation, the size of diameter and projectiles and the size of the force, the velocity curve and displacement curve of projectiles are obtained, and the effective distance of device that can hit the target is obtained under different elevations. In addition, the impact force is calculated when projectiles hit slagging. Combined with the actual situation of rotary kiln, the parameters in the best condition are found out finally, which can make the effect of cleaning up the slagging of rotary kiln better.
