Research On Clean Development Mechanism Of Climate Change

The global warming issue is now getting more and more attention in the international community,it has been discussed nearly in all the international meetings recently.The clean development mechanism is one of the three flexible mechanisms established in the Kyoto Protocol,which is agreed under COP3 of the Framework Convention on Climate Change. It is an international cooperative mechanism engaged in green house gas emission reduction through project activities between Annex I countries and non-Annex I countries with the aim that can not only reduce the cost of green house gas emission reduction of Annex I countries but also can facilitate the fulfillment of the objective of sustainable development of non-Annex I countries.The dissertation is formed by three parts:the introduction,the text and the conclusion.In the first part,the introduction outlines the background, literature review and methodology.The conclusion part summarizes the main opinion of this part.The text comprised of four parts:Part one mainly analyzes the creation,development of CDM.Section one reviews the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Section two reviews the Kyoto Protocol.Section Three introduces the achievement of each Conference of the Parties. Section four analyzes law and policy on climate change of various countries.Section one mainly introduce developed countries and section two introduce developing countries.Part two analyzes the law theoretical foundation of CDM, which is based on principles of sustainable development,principles of the common but different liability and principles of international cooperation.Part three is mainly about operation process of a CDM project, the responsibilities that each participant would take and several special CDM project.Part four analyzes the problems of CDM and put forward a sound proposal.
