Nowadays, as the development of environment resource, huge amount of waste water which including nitrogen and phosphorus has been ejected into nearby lakes, rivers and reservoirs, which increase the nutrition load of these waters. The pollution of water will not only endanger the water resource and the quality of drinking water, but also will result in the insufficiency of industrial and agricultural water. Therefore, the prevention and cure of lake and reservoirs pollution is an urge. This paper discusses the pollution prevention of Sichuan lake and reservoir. Through material collection and site survey, it evaluates the water quality of main lake and reservoirs so as to analyze the pollution load of main lake and reservoirs. It selects the permanganate index, total nitrogen, total phosphorus and five-day's oxygen demand as the evaluation factors and conducts an integrative research on main lake and reservoirs in Sichuan. In the thirteen lake and reservoirs being investigated, three of them satisfy the surface water standard-level 2, which accounts for 23.1%; seven of them satisfy the surface water standard-level 3, which accounts for 53.8%; 15.4% of them satisfy the surface water standard-level 4; the water quality of Lianhuadong lake and reservoir is level-5 and the main pollutions are total nitrogen, total phosphorus and five-day's oxygen demand. In addition, it evaluates the nutrition of these lakes. Result shows that there is no main lake of server-degree nutrition in Sichuan, moderate-degree presents a 61.5% while mild-degree presents a 38.5%.According to the analysis of pollution sources, the total amount of waste water discharge of Sichuan in 2006 is 3.304 billion ton and 0.66 billion ton has been ejected into lake and reservoirs. Results indicates that there will be 0.488 billion waste water being ejected into lake and reservoirs in 2010,0.366 in 2015 and 0.264 in 2020. It decreases in either total amount of waste or the amount of respective kind of wastes. Finally, it proposes a reasonable and economic waste prevention plan based on the state quo of lake and reservoirs from water pollution prevention, agricultural pollution prevention, interior pollution prevention, reservoir environment management and other aspects. This plan aims to improve the water environment and ecological environment of lake and reservoirs and provides technical support for pollution treatment so as to implement the sustainable development of lake and reservoirs.
