Floss silk products are loved by Consumers home and abroad, but now the study of floss silk only pays attention on the development of functional products in high-tech and has not devoted to change the traditional soap-alkali process. So this project uses refining agent method instead of soap-alkali method in process, to ensure the strength of floss silk after washing in preparation to apply the cutting floss silk in needling.First, this project researches the structure and properties of silk materials. By analyzing strength loss rate before and after soap-alkali method degumming, we found strength loss of floss silk is fairly heavy after soap-alkali method degumming. On comparison of the change of vertical section and cross section before and after soap-alkali method degumming by SEM, we found that the section of raw silk has injured to some degree after soap-alkali degumming. After doing the foundation experiments on different degumming methods, we select the factors and levels of orthogonal test, and determine the optimal washing process of soap-alkali method through the orthogonal test results. On the basis of soap-alkali degumming, in order to get the process that produces best results of degreasing and causes less damage to the silk floss, we have selected different marseilles soap, refining agent, definish and softeners on basis of information search and production practice in the factory. We have chosen their concentration and type through the judgment of whiteness, glossiness, softness and comfort and then selected orthogonal experimental factors and levels. Finally we have obtained the optimum three-step washing process of silk floss through the orthogonal test experiment and applied in the factory to verify the correctness of the laboratory experiments. Through orthogonal experiment analysis we found that different degumming processes have significant effect on the fracture load of floss silk, and we have obtained the best of silk floss fracture load according to experimental programs. Finally, the structure of silk floss after different degumming have been compared with by SEM, infrared spectrum, X-ray diffraction and obtain different degumming methods have different crossbar sections. The structural characteristics of refining methods floss silk are better than soap-alkali method. Measure and analyze the compression resilience, moisture regain, pH value and oil content of floss silk combining with national standards. Results show that the properties of refining method are better than soap-alkali method. This floss silk is up to relevant national standards.
