In recent years, the mechanism floss silk developed vigorously. The silk quilts, main products of the floss silk, were favored by the majority of the consumers. It's significant to research and develop the mechanism floss silk for stabilizing the cocoon price and promoting the traditional silk industry healthily and harmoniously. However, there are still some key issues need to be resolved in the production process of the mechanism floss silk. (1) The boil process is not perfect. And the quality of the mechanism floss silk can't be guaranteed. (2) It impacts the development of the mechanism floss silk for its single species. (3) Direct discharging of the boiled waste water causes the environmental pollution and resource waste.This project aimed at the key issues existed in the process of the mechanism floss silk and did the research as followings. First, the boil process of the mechanism floss silk was studied. This project divided the boil process into three parts. They're degrease-bleaching, degum-softening and acid-adjusting. The TF-101BN and 30% H2O2 were used to degrease and bleach the mechanism floss silk. And the oil contents of the samples before and after the treatment were studied. The optimal degumming process was selected by comparing the alkali, alkali-soap and alkali-floss silk agent to the impacts on the degumming loss rates and the mechanical properties of the mechanism floss silk. This paper softened the samples with BG1-311, adjusted their pH values with glacial acetic acid, and got the optimal boil process. Second, the method of making needle floss silk was studied. Using mechanism floss silk, short silk and polyester fibers as materials, the needle floss silk and needle mix floss silk were made by needle process. And this paper measured the samples'properties, such as the weight, thickness, mechanical properties, thermal properties, moisture permeability and size stability. And this paper compared them with needle polyester, needle polypropylene and double needle polyester samples. Finally, the sericin in the boil waste water was reclaimed by acid precipitation method. The recycling rates in different pH values and the solubility of the samples were studied. By the observation of the infrared spectroscopy, X-diffraction and thermal analysis, the aggregation structure of the reclaimed sericin and the influence of repeated acid precipitation were studied.
