Research On Functional Finishing Of Wool Fabric

Wool fabric is popular with consumers because it has a unique style, good warm function, soft, bright color and light. With the improvement of living standard, the requirement of function finishing on wool fabric is higher. In this paper, repellent, UV, nano antibacterial finishing methods and processes of wool fabric were studied with the actual needs of the factory production.Using water repellent Oleophobol CO in repellent finishing on wool fabric by single factor test, the best conditions were obtained as follow:repellent agent was 50 g/L, pH was 5-6,110℃pre-drying 2min,160℃baking 3min. The water repellent level of fabric with this finishing process could still refuse to 90 points. The impact on the fabric of the shade was small. There was no effect on the fabric of color fastness.Using UV agent tyrone A206 to UV finishing by the single factor test, the best conditions were obtained as follow:finishing agent was 40 g/L,100℃pre-drying 2min, 160℃baking 1.5min. The UV transmittance of the fabric finished by this process was less than 5%. The UPF value was still up to 37.41 after 10 times washing.Finishing wool fabric with nano inorganic antimicrobial agent GreenStone G & S-Ti, G & S-Ag and G & S-Zn, the test results showed that these three kinds of agent had good antibacterial properties. The G & S-Zn agent had the best antimicrobial property, by which used the dosage of 5g/L, the inhibitory rate could reach 94.6%.
