Roll grinder modern industrial production is a kind of indispensable equipment, the production of roll is mainly used in metallurgy, papermaking, rolling industries. With the improvement of product quality, roll grinder accuracy is higher and higher also. In order to ensure the static stiffness, dynamic trait,stability and processing manufaturability,in the design process of the machine, it is needed to adopts modern design method to realize the dynamic structure design, improve product performance to enhance the competitive in the market.Axis system,as an important part of roll grinder, its static and dynamic performance directly influences the comprehensive performance and machining precision and surface quality of the roller grinding.This thesis discusses the M84100A type roll grinder spindle system of Tianshui spark machine Co., LTD. as the research objec. By researching the roller grinding machine spindle system's structure and performance,the design of a new spindle system is completed, to meet the basic requirements of high quality grinding.Firstly, according to the production requirements of the spindle system the type of spindle drive is selected, and the anti-vibration and gyration accuracy is analyzed, the optimization of the structure belt pulley number of the oringinal strap wheel is done. Secondly, based on establishment of three-dimensional model of the spindle, the finite element static analysis is carried out through which the stress and strain graph of the spindle structure is obtained; the static characteristics is researched.Using the transfer matrix method and finite element method for the modal analysis of the properly simplified spindle system, the fist five natural frequencies is given. Harmonic response analysis of spindle system gives the frequency-displacement curve, to help with the studies the the dynamic characteristics of the spindle. Finally, according to the need,a one-way combination hydrodynamic-hydrostatic sliding bearing is selected, and the structural parameters calculation is done for the reasonable values.The use of new spindle system greatly improved the production efficiency and operating stability of the roller grinder. the indexes of the new roller completely meet the design requirements by measuring and analysis, some even exceed the design requirements which proves that the feasibility of the studies. The research surly provides some valuable reference for development of other roll grinding machine.
