Some Applications Of The Bischalcones In The Organic Synthesis

1,5-Diaryl-1,4-pentadien-3-one are very important synthetic intermediate for the preparation of oxime, pyrazoline, amides, pyridine, pyrimidine and spiroketone. In this thesis, some applications of bischalcones in the organic synthesis were reviewed in recent years according to kinds of organic reactions.Synthesis of 7,11-diarylspiro[5.5]undecane-1,9-dione via Michael condensation, one-pot synthesis of 6,10-diaryl-2-oxo-3-azaspiro[4.5]decane-1,4,8-trione,1,5-diaryl-3-arylethenyl-2-pyrazolines, zinc mediated cyclodimerization of 1,5-diaryl-1,4-pentadien-3-one under ultrasound irradiation and the condensation of bischalcones with hydroxylamine hydrochloride were studied. Compared to the reported methods, the main advantage of the present procedure is simple work-up procedure, shorter reaction time and higher yield.
