Jinghui Irrigation Area is a very important FAO base on Guanzhong Plain Shaanxi Province. It draw water from Jihe River, using wells and drains, supporting construction of economy in Shaanxi Province and even the whole country. In recent years, economy of irrigation area developing very fast, demanding of water resource growing also very fast, so, groundwater exploitation increasingly. This lead to series geological environmental problems:great drop of groundwater level; regional cone of depression. Research on groundwater quality by the influence of these problems has positive effect on irrigation sustainable development.This paper base on water quality monitoring data over the years and field sampling, detecting data, doing deeper research on groundwater quality. At first, the paper review the status quo and development of groundwater quality in China and abroad, introducing Jinghui irrigation area, then use method of geostatistics analyzing spatial distribution of important water quality parameters:SO42-,Cl-, HCO3-, K+ Na+, total hardness and TDS. Result showing that every parameters are exceeding, SO42-, total hardness, TDS are worse than other parameters.Use fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method assessing irrigation area groundwater in 2008 and 2009, base on parameters spatial distribution. Result showing that 2008's water quality is better than 2009, there are 11% monitoring wells' water meet the drinking water standards, but most monitoring wells are still V level, groundwater current pollution situation are serious.Water quality prediction is very important field in hydrogeology research, accurate prediction could provide scientific basis for developing and protecting groundwater. This paper use grey theory model predicting groundwater quality in Jinghui irrigation area, through fitting with measured data, model accuracy is satisfaction. Prediction result show:irrigation area's groundwater quality will become worse if keep current developing and sewage method.At last, paper propose six proposal of groundwater developing and protecting on Jinghui irrigation area, hope these proposal would protecting groundwater environmental, promoting sustainable development and building a harmonious irrigation area.
