The function of inner liner is to maintain proper inflation pressure, thereby enhancing the durability of tires and driving safety. In this paper, the effects of homogenizing agents on the properties of all-steel radial tire rubber inner liner BIIR compound and semi-steel radial tire inner liner CIIR / NR compound were studied.FTIR tests showed that homogenizing agents RH100 and 40MS contain aromatic, aliphatic hydrocarbons and ester functional groups. The effects of RH100 on BIIR performance were studied. The results showed that with the increasing amount of RH100, the Mooney viscosity of BIIR compound decreased and self-adhesive increased. RH100 has strong interactions between rubber compound and carbon black, RPA test showed that the Payne effect of compound and the filler network structure reduced. SEM test shows that the particle size of carbon black in vulcanizate reduced and filler dispersion was improved. The scorch time and optimum cure time of rubber compound were delayed by RH100, and the processing safety was improving. Tensile strength and ShoreA hardness of the vulcanizate decreased, while elongation at break, tear strength and swelling index increased.RH100, 40MS and 203 tackifier resin, C5 resin were compared on BIIR performance. The Mooney viscosity and self-adhesive of rubber compound with descending order was: 203 resin> 40MS> RH100> C5 resin. Carbon black dispersion with descending order was: 40MS> RH100> 203 resin> C5 resin.The effect of RH100 on the properties of CIIR/NR compound were study. The results showed that RH100 can effectively reduce the Mooney viscosity of NR. the NR Mooney is close to CIIR Mooney, and increasing the compatibility between CIIR and NR. HAAKE test showed that Homogenizing agent can reduced Mixing power and time to reach equilibrium torque. Capillary flow test showed that, RH100 can reduced the apparent viscosity and improve the flowing ability of rubber compound.RH100 which contain different polar functional groups was compatible with CIIR and NR. Contact angle measurements showed that RH100 can reduce rubber compound's surface tension and the difference with the rubber surface can also be reduced. TEM Test showed that after adding RH100, the dispersion phase of NR particles'particle size was significantly reduced and the compatibility between CIIR and NR was increased. SEM and carbon black dispersion tests showed that RH100 can increase the dispersion of carbon black. Making the more number of particles play a blocking effect so that gas molecule extended the more in the diffusion path of polymer. Improve the gas barrier properties of CIIR/NR compound. DMA showed that between 0℃and 70℃. With increasing RH100 amount, homogenizing agents can improve the damping value. the order of tanδvalue of the vulcanizates from low to high was: naphthenic oil
