The addition of carbon black to rubber materials can increase its strength and reduce costs at the same time.Therefore,most rubber formulations have carbon black components.Since the dispersion of carbon black in rubber directly affects its reinforcing effect,quantitative characterization of the dispersion of carbon black in rubber is beneficial to accurately evaluate the dispersion of carbon black,optimize the ratio of filler systems,and improve the quality of rubber materials.Aiming at the shortcomings of the existing manual identification methods,this paper proposes two methods for evaluating the dispersion of carbon black,which are based on the group theory and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory.These two systems increase the quantification of the method for evaluating the dispersion of carbon black in rubber,while reducing the cost of evaluation.Based on this,an evaluation system for the dispersion of carbon black has been developed.The system adopts visual interface and has good man-machine interaction function.The image processing algorithm programming involved in the construction of the two systems and the later development of the carbon black dispersion evaluation system are all based on the operation of Matlab software.The specific content is as follows:(1)Obtain rubber samples with different carbon black dispersion by changing the mixing time during rubber processing.After ultra-thin cryosectioning at-160?,a rubber flake with a thickness of 50 nm is obtained.The high-resolution transmission electron micrographs of rubber samples with different carbon black dispersion conditions were obtained after the transmission electron microscopy.The obtained high-resolution transmission electron microscope image is preprocessed through the steps of gray scale transformation,image filtering,and image binarization,and then the interference of zinc oxide particles in the high-resolution transmission electron microscope image is removed by the subtraction between the images.(2)After constructing the carbon black dispersion evaluation system based on the group theory,use Matlab programming to extract the information of the carbon black dispersion in the rubber image,and fit the extracted characteristic parameters according to the evaluation system to obtain values that characterizes of the carbon black dispersion.After constructing a classification system of carbon black dispersion based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory,use Matlab programming to extract the the characteristic information of standard pictures of different carbon black dispersion levels in the national standard and the high-resolution transmission electron microscope images obtained in the experiment,perform calculations according to the requirements in the classification system to output the level to which the maximum probability belongs,and this level is the result of the system.(3)Using the GUI toolbox of Matlab to develop an evaluation system for the dispersion of carbon black in rubber,which covers the work in the entire evaluation system,including the image preprocessing interface and the interface of the carbon black dispersion evaluation system based on the group theory.and the interface of the classification system of carbon black dispersion based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory.Using this system to evaluate the carbon black dispersion in complex industrial rubber products,and make corresponding improvements to the system after analyzing the evaluation process and results.
