Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is a kind of inflammable and explosive dangerous chemicals. When LPG storage tanks exsit in chemical industrial zone, accidents such as fire and explosion often lead to a domino effect which brought about great suffering to the chemical industry zone. Therefore, it's necessary to have a research on domino effect which caused by LPG tank fire and explosion accidents for chemical industry zone.Based on the domino effect as a background, this thesis describes the relevant physical and mathematical model based on which the corresponding assumptions is made, and analyses the dynamic characteristics of LPG tanks in the fire and explosion accident which caused a domino effect in order to draw the rule of response discipline of LPG storage tanks under the domino effects.Which will help the operation management and risk contro of LPG storage tanks, and also provide a theoretical basis and technical support.1) The physical model of fire thermo dynamics respond of LPG storage tanks under the domino effect: On the basis of previous studies, this thesis carries out thermo dynamic behavior analysis of LPG tanks under the domino effect caused by fire.2) Effect of pool fire thermo dynamic characteristics of LPG storage tanks under the domino effect:The thermal dynamic characteristics of LPG storage tanks under the pool fire domino effect is simulated by the use of ANSYS software. Then the author compares experimental results of HSE with numerical results and analyzes the effect of thickness, temperature, filling factor..3) Jet fire thermal dynamic characteristics analysis of LPG tanks under the domino effect: The thermal dynamic characteristics of LPG storage tanks under the uniformity and non-uniform jet fire domino effect is simulated by the use of ANSYS software. Then the author compares experimental results of HSE with numerical results and analyzes the effect of temperature, jet speed, spray medium, thickness, inner diameter and filling factor on the thermal dynamic characteristics.4) Explosion dynamic characteristics analysis of LPG tanks under the domino effect: The dynamic characteristics of LPG tanks including the explosion fragments, explosive fireball and blast wave expansion are analyzed. In more detail, for the fragment, the author analyzes the main dynamic characteristics of the penetration. For the fireball, the major analysis is of its thermo dynamic properties. For the blast shock wave, the author mainly analyzes the shock dynamic characteristics.The paper constructs the conditions of domino effect of LPG tanks in pool fie, jet fire and explosion through the research work, draws the dynamic rules of LPG tanks when domino effect happens, and verifies the effectiveness of the simulation results by contrasting the results with HSE experimental. The analysis results has certain reference value for controling the risks of chemical industrial zone, preventing and reducing accidents and reducing the accident loss of domino effect.
