As the basis of natural science, the science of physics is the source of technical development. The development of physics moved forward the development of technology as well as the human society. Whereas, the modern technology is a double-edged sword; it improved humans'abilities of conquering and transforming nature and meanwhile, the abilities of destorying nature to an unprecedented level. China, as one of the biggest developing countries, is facing a deteriorating environmental problem, with the speeding up of social transformation. The ecological environment is worsening to such an extent that in some areas, destoryed environment can not be restored therefore environmental education is extremely urgent. Sovling environmental problems requires the reinforcement of supervision and punishment from the related authorities. At the same time, the whole society needs to put more efforts to the environmental eudcation and realization of the younger generation. In recent years,our country is paying much attention to the environmental education in elementary and high schools. Education departments issued several documents,clearly requiring that environmental education should be set up as an optional subject in senior high schools, and that environmental education should be valued in the teaching of subjects like nature and society in elementary school,physics,chemistry,biology and geography in junior high school. Students should have related knowledge,skills and feelings about environment through the teaching in the above subjects. Environmental education has been an essential component of quality-oriented education. In the new curriculum reform infiltrating environmental education in the academic teaching has become the key issue we need to focus on. However,that environmental education in China has just started,and development among schools in different regions is uneven; in the meantime pressure from the NMT makes many senior high schools practice very little or even no environmental education. In order to solve the above problems,and to better adapt to the development of society and the requirements of the new curriculum reform,and to give a guidance to the future teaching,I made some research on the environmental education in Physics teaching.I applied methods such as document retrieval,questionnaire survey contrastive analysis and etc. Based on the other researches,years of personal teaching experiences and analysis on the sample survey of the environment in Qingdao,the research result is presented in four parts.The first part conducts a review of environmental education bringing in the definitions of environment and environmental education clarifying the necessity of infiltrating environmental education in physics and also giving some examples of the development of environmental education in the teaching of different subjects in elementary and high schools in China. The second part is the analysis on the sample survey of the environmental education in 5 high schools in Qingdao,giving a short introduction and a feedback of the environmental awareness of high school students in Qingdao and the environmental education in high schools. Regretfully,due to the limited resources,the survey failed to be carried on in more high schools. The third part introduces the strategic approach in infiltrating environmental education in Physics teaching through some fragments of teaching cases,and proposes some suggestions on infiltrating environmental education in Physics teaching. The fourth parts deals with the arrangment by chapters of the source materials of environmental education in Physics teaching in senior high school. With the full and accurate content close connection with the books,and emphasis on both the scientific and fun characters,physics teachers in high school will find it easy to look through and adaptable to the classroom teaching.
