With the development of human society, Ecological civilization is a certain and necessity product, which uses an entirely new perspective to interpreted the harmonious relationship between man and nature. Ecological civilization advocated a better way of life, healthy consumption patterns and the concept of sustainable development. The whole human being together is strving to pursuit the ecological civilization. While we can not avoid the fact that there is a huge crisis in global ecological environment, which threatens the human living environment and severe challenge against the construction of ecological civilization. To solve these problems, by promoting ecological education is an important means. Therefore, to deeply study eco-education has both important theoretical and practical significance that can provide a new approach and model to solve ecological crisis as well as to contribute to building ecological civilization.The paper firstly analyzed the importance of the ecological education in the perspective of ecological civilization and expatiated on the advancing and the defination of ecological civilization, and the relationship between ecological education and ecological civilization. The next part is the theory of ecological education. This chapter defined and distinguished the relavent concepts and the specific meaning of the ecological education. This paper expounded the ethical connotations of ecological education through the study of the Chinese traditional ecological ideology, Marxism-ecological view and the scientific development concept. Then the thesis through both moral and legal aspects analysed the specific content of ecological education. By combining the two aspects of moral and legal to conduct the ecological education, it strengthened the already established moral dimensions of ecological education and also maked up the missing issues of the rule of law education in the current ecological education, which is the innovation of this paper. The paper also discussed the three principles for ecological education--integrity, practical and universaty and through the above ecological education to achieve goals and values. Then, the practice of ecological education is analyzed. The paper discussed the targets of ecological education as well as the three educational models--separate Education, penetrative education and special education which separately used for these different groups--schools, the public and the government in order to enable the ecological education into practice effectively. And through the developing of ecological campus, ecological communities, and establishing and improving relevant systems and mechanisms to make ecological education can really transform from the theoretical into the practical level and evaluated ecological education from the educational process and effect. Finally, the paper explained the trend of ecological education modernization, globalization and popularity.
