In this paper, the core device design of Biomass curing dense forming technology, Briquetting Press, is studied on. Main contents involving:1) The factors of biomass cold briquetting are analyses. Three important factors are chosen to make an orthogonal test, By application of intuitive analysis and variance analysis, relationship between primary and secondary of these factors are gain, also the optimum process parameters are gain, these could be a fundament for further research.2) The material compression molding process and characteristic of existing biomass forming machines are analyses. The design of new architectures are proposed,based on its characteristic.3) Use Pro/E characteristic parameters modeling technology to design Briquetting Press parts and assemble it.4) According to the process requirements of Briquetting Press, a reliable and stable hydraulic system is designed. The design includes the selection of hydraulic components, and calculation for the hydraulic system pressure loss, temperature and other properties. According to the temperature conditions, hydraulic oil cooler and heater are selection.5) The mechanical analysis models of main compression stage and holding pressure molding stage are established separately. The force condition of materials and upper moldboard in both stages are analyses.6) FEM static mechanical analyses are worked out by MSC.Patran and MSC.Nastran.
