Starch graft polyacrylamide not only increase use of starch and enlarge applying area but also improving capability of synthesising macromolecule and reducing cost enormously. Traditional starch graft polyacrylamide is synthesized by water-liquor or water-in-oil solution.Solid content of water-liquor type polyacrylamide is generally low, and it is hard to control the molecular weight, and transporting cost is high;water-in-oil type polyacrylamide is dispersing soluble polyacrylamide in oil(hydrocarbons),and environmental is polluted when it is used.Traditional method of synthesizing starch graft polyacrylamide in water-liquor or water-in-oil solution is breached in this paper.Synthesizing starch graft polyacrylamide by water-in-water solution not only has excellence of dissolving quickly by water-liquor solution and producing efficiency high by water-in-oil solution,but also obviates disadvantage of Solid content is low by water-liquor solution and polluting environmental by water-in-oil solution. Effect of concentration of inorganic acid souring starch to producing efficiency and dissolving time of ultimately production is studyed.Dealing coking wastewater with using compound of sour denatured water-in-water type starch graft polyacrylamide and inorganic flocculant and surfactant.Grafting reaction succeed is identified by infrared absorption spectra and scanning electron microscopy.Being water-in-water type emulsion is identified:its particle size is 0.1-10μm is identified by BK-POL polarizing microscope;being water-in-water type is identified by infrared absorption spectra.After orthogona,the best formula is that sulfuric acid concentration is 10%,temperature is 40℃,initiator quality is 0.0237g,monomer quality is 4g.As this formula,producing efficiency is 98.56%,dissolving time is 4min,molecular weight of its branched-chain is 3.10×106. After dealed with 400mL coking wastewater whose COD is 263.3 mg·L-1 and absorbency is 0.257 and suspended sediment is 0.1523g,its COD is 101.2mg·L-1 and absorbency is 0.013 and suspended sediment is 0.016g,so flocculating effect is obvious.
