As a coke processing technology, because of its characteristics of environmental protection and energy saving, Coke Dry Quenching (CDQ) technology gets more and more attention all over the world. From the 1940s, CDQ technology has formed a very mature technology after more than half a century of development. With the development of chemical industry, syngas get more and more extensive use. Syngas preparation technology is developing rapidly, and a variety of syngas preparation technology has matured. Social advance enables people to produce an urgent requirment to process integration technology which both environmental protection and energy saving. Based on the mature technology of CDQ technology and syngas preparation technology, this paper proposed the integration of CDQ and syngas polygeneration technology. It couples CDQ technology and syngas preparation technology together, and can produces syngas while cooling of coke. The thesis major work and results include:(1) The literature about CDQ technology, syngas preparation technologies, and the function of computer simulation in chemical process development were systematically collected and summarized.(2) The thermodynamic model of the integration of CDQ and syngas polygeneration process was set up by using of Aspen Plus process simulation software, and then the comparation was carried out. Simulation results were in excellent agreement with literature values and industrial data, so this model might be useful for analyzing thermodynamic characteristics of the integration of CDQ and syngas polygeneration process. (3) Based on the thermodynamic model of the integration of CDQ and syngas polygeneration process, major factors affecting the integration of CDQ and syngas polygeneration process were analyzed, and optimal operating parameters were obtained. The results showed that both oxygen preheating and air preheating can reach the technical specifications, but the technical performance of oxygen preheating is superior to the air preheating, and the air preheating is more cost savings.(4) The preliminary economic and technological evaluation of the integration of CDQ and syngas polygeneration process was carried out. Compared with the CDQ process, the integration of CDQ and syngas polygeneration process has obvious advantages in the technical performance and economic benefits.
