This paper is Based on the analysis of treatment technology of of landfill leachate biochemical effluent, and considering the feature of landfill leachate biochemical effluent,according to the life of the landfill pollution control standard (GB16889-2008) of landfill leachate discharge water, proposed to treat the landfill leachate biochemical effluent with biological activated carbon.Biological activated carbon (BAC) as a financial wastewater treatment technologies with activated carbon adsorption and biofilm degradation is commonly used in low concentration, refractory organic wastewater treatment, how to make the micro-organisms fixed and growed in the activated carbon is the key of success on the start-up and treatment of biological carbon reactor. This paper is mainly about treating refractory landfill leachate biochemical effluent, it will colonize biofilm dynamically with tamed sluge,and fixed biofilm statically,this can colonize biofilm and launch the biological activated carbon reactor faster;This paper is on the basis of the treating efficiency and influencing factors of biological activated carbon treating landfill leachate biochemical effluent, further have a research on the efficiency of the ozone biological activated carbon technology, Finally have a research on the dynamics of organic matter degradation of biological activated carbon reactor.The research results are showed as follows:①We can colonize biofilm dynamically with tamed sluge,and fixed biofilm statically,this can colonize biofilm and launch the biological activated carbon reactor faster.It is found made up volume of 500mg/L sluge solution,and according to 2-4g/L of biological activated carbon reactor to control the the mass of colonized sluge,and according to circular flow of 400-560 ml/min,and on the under run flow,on this way biological activated carbon reactor can colonize biofilm steady in one or two days. The end of start-up and operating reveals biological activated carbon reactor is fit for treating landfill leachate which after biological treat,and CODcr removal is more than 70 percent,which is specially better than SBR activated sluge advanced treatment which only come to 25 percent CODcr removal.②Biological activated carbon column is mainly for adsorpting in the early time, and is mainly for biodegradating in the later time.The removal of Artificial biological activated carbon fixed tamed sludge can remain at 70%, while natural biological activated carbon can only run 55 days. Orange peel biological activated carbon is 5%-10% higher than commercial biological activated carbon on the removal rate.The optimal start-up method of Biological activated carbon is choosing more large diameter and surface area of good bio-compatibility activated carbon as a carbon column vector; fixing the tamed sludge to start the Biological Activated Carbon Process; carbon column fixed 3000mg/L to 4000mg/L bioconcentration.③The combination of ozone and biological activated carbon is better than the single biological activated carbon process in the removal of organic compounds in water leachate treatment, the former removal could be stabilized at 80%. The pretreatment of ozone can reduce the volume of biological activated carbon columns, save construction cost. Low concentration of leachate water can not only reduce the ozone dosage, but the removal rate is also higher.④Biological activated carbon in up-flow is more stable, the effect of treatment is better than down-flow .Commercial carbon as the vector of the biological activated carbon is suitable for the load range is 1.5-2kgCODcr/m3?d, while the self-made activated carbon as the vector of the biological activated carbon is suitable for the load range is 2-2.5kg CODcr/m3?d.The single activated carbon column is effective only in 55 days, and the range of the influent load should be 2-2.5kgCODcr/m3?d.Adding the tamed sludge can be the recovery process.⑤Organic compounds is mainly removed in the inlet side,increasing the inlet side biomass of BAC column can improve the organic removal rate.When the water flow rate at 10ml/min, the adsorption of organic compounds in the height of the carbon column is 120cm.⑥Biomass gradually reduce along the flow direction in the artificial biological activated carbon columns,orange peel self-made activated carbon can fix more biomass than commercial activated carbon. Biomass in the nature biological activated carbon are at least, and the distribution along the layer is not differ greatly.The biomass distribution of biological activated carbon is inversely proportional to bio-specific activity, the more biomass, the lower activity. Ozone pretreatment can improve the biological activity of microorganisms in activated carbon columns.⑦The performance along the flow direction and kinetic characteristics of BAC column was preliminary explored, and find a first order kinetic equation can be used to describe the degradation laws of organic compounds, the reaction rate constants decreases along the water flow direction.
