As the structure and properties of the coal or rock are complex ,which makes the cutting process of shearer is particularly complicated, so that the load of the working mechanism of shearer takes on nonlinear, time variability and strong coupling. The application of the load texts which are created by MATLAB can effectively solve this problem.In this paper, a friendly visualized software on load calculation is compiled by MATLAB GUI, which is operated simply and the results of the calculation by which is intuitionistic and easy understanding. This software can calculate the load of the working mechanism of shearer under complex working conditions, which lays a foundation for the shearer's design and optimization, while the output load texts from it provide some qualifications for quantitative study on the reliability of shearer's cutting unit. This software can optimize the shearer's structure parameters motion parameters, including the line spacing for cutting picks of drums, the matching Relation of drum revolution Speed and haulage Speed. Lastly, the optimized results are validated by ADAMS.This software's database provides 17 kinds of model parameters of Shearers and the application condition to each, which provides some reference value for the design and study on shearer. The development of software has a certain practicality.
