High pressure FRP Pipes have been widely used in today's national oil industry and have achieved good economic and social benefits for the advantages of corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, high strength, light weight and pollution-free, etc. High pressure FRP pipes are made by the molding process of winding and curing which commonly uses epoxy resin as matrix and glass fiber as reinforced material. Reasonable curing system is essential to product high-quality FRP pipe.In this paper, the curing temperature and curing degree field of high pressure FRP pipes in the internal curing process are studied in the way of numerical simulation, and curing system is optimized based on simulation results. First, the thermal-chemical model and the reaction kinetic model in the curing process are established. Then, the finite element method is used for solving coupled heat conduction equation and the curing reaction kinetics equation, and the transient numerical analysis model in the curing process of resin-based composite material is established. The adaptive time-step control is used to improve the efficiency of the solution, and lumped mass method is used to improve the accuracy and stability of the solution. Finally, the numerical simulation programme of FRP pipe curing is developed based on finite element software ANSYS and parametric design language APDL. On the premise of proving the reliability of analysis model and the correctness of the algorithm, the pipe curing system of the actual production is under a numerical simulation analysis and then it is further optimized.Through the theory research of high pressure FRP pipe in the internal curing process and numerical simulation program developed by finite element software, the numerical simulation for the distribution and the regularity of curing temperature and curing degree is researched; the general influence law of curing parameters on temperature and curing distribution in curing process is shown. The paper has the guiding significance for the development of curing system and the actual production.
