Design And Development Of The Multispectral Online Measurement Device For Detecting Dissolved Organic Matter In Wastewater

The existing water quality measurement device can be mainly divided into two types, one is based on traditional physical and chemical methods, and the other is based on emerging spectroscopic methods. Compared with the former, the latter has the several following advantages:faster detecting speed, easier operation and maintenance, lower running cost and no secondary chemical pollution. It is so suitable for online measurement of water quality. But the only spectroscopic method using in this is UV absorption spectrum, whose result is still not so ideal. Thus we want to introduce fluorescence spectrum, which is higher in sensitivity and better in qualitative analysis, into this field to achieve the online water quality measurement method based on multi-spectrum and improve the performance of water quality measurement device based on spectroscopic methods.Multispectral online measurement device for detecting dissolved organic matter in wastewater consists of multispectral detection system, sample collection and pretreatment system, electrical control system and UI software. The work of this paper is organized as follows:1. Design the multispectral detection system through the theoretical analysis and experimental of different detectors and light sources, according to the several requirements of UV absorption spectrum and fluorescence spectrum detecting.2. Design the sample collection and pretreatment system according to the several requirements of water samples for the two spectrums detecting and the practical application of industrial site.3. Design the electrical control system and then develop the UI software. In the collaboration between the two we can achieve to control and run the multispectral detection system and the sample collection and pretreatment system.4. Assemble into the testing prototype of multispectral online measurement device for detecting dissolved organic matter in wastewater, with the multispectral detection system, the sample collection and pretreatment system, the electrical control system and the UI software. And then analyze the overall performance and find out some problems of the prototype through the test run. At the same time propose some improvement program to solve the problems and improve the overall performance.
