The Research On Parametric Design Methods And Application Of Counter-type Panel Furniture

During the early stage of development of the Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology, designers often use the approach of human-computer interaction to mark size in graphics rendering.As the value of its dimension is fixed, the graphics generated here only contain pixels of the image information.Furthermore,there is no constraint relation between internal components, and most of the design is improved design,in which size changes and sesies design cannot be achieved.Computer-aided Furniture Design (FCAD) has played an important role in realizing the specialization of CAD production for the furniture production enterprise,and parametric design is the core of CAD design.Therefore, this thesis put forward the subject of parametric design of the counter-type panel furniture. Applying the parametric design technology and analyzing 32mm system's design principles of Cabinet Panel Furniture,the thesis has developed Parametric Design System of the counter-type panel furniture. The research work on this thesis embodies the following aspects:(1) The feature technology is combined by comparing with various parametric design methods. Based on the study of feature parametric modeling approach, the counter-type panel furniture parametric feature model can be set up through the analysis of the modulus, structural characteristics, as well as the formula of related plate pieces.(2) Based on the theory of parametric design, the 32mm system's design theories of Cabinet Panel Furniture has been discussed to find out the current problems occurred on the application of the 32mm system in China.(3) The secondary development is made on AutoCAD2007 for counter-type panel furniture by adopting embedded development tools VBA as programming language in graphics.The research and development of Parametric Design System is made,which is suitable for the counter-type panel furniture, by the use of the modular design means and interactive.(4) In order to make the system more practical, comparing with the characteristic of two kinds of data-base, the advanced Web-based database is adopted as a link to store and transfer the relevant data of hardware connector. (5) Analyzing assembly technology application on the process of furniture assembly,moreover,an exploratory research is conducted on the effort of the three-dimensional(3-D) virtual simulation assembly technology of the parts.
