In this thesis, properties and healthy functions and the thermal and moisture comfort functions of rice-protein modified viscose are researched and evaluated; Four kinds of knitted fabrics are developed and thermal and moisture comfortable functions and durable properties of them are tested and evaluated.Through the study of the fiber properties, the following results are revealed:The lengthways surface of the fiber has a large number of grooves and many microgrooves and its cross-section was irregular. The macromolecule of the fiber contains many hydroxyl groups and a small amount of amino. Therefore moisture transmission and wet permeability functions of their fabrics are good, and the fabrics are dry and comfort able. Because of the fiber is slim and low modulus and non-circular section, the hand feeling is soft, smooth, fluffy and comfortable, that avoid the glassy smooth of the common chemical fibers. Physical properties of the fiber is basically similar to general viscose and mainly reflected the characteristics of regenerated cellulose fibers.Through the study of the healthy functions, the following results are revealed: Because of potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, aluminum, zinc, iron, titanium and their metal oxides in the fiber, the fabrics has a good far-infrared emission function. Because a changeable valence metal (Fe) exists in the protein, the electrons can be released, the fiber has a negative ion emission function. Because the oxide of zinc, magnesium, aluminum, iron, titanium and lysine and phenylalanine of the protein can absorb ultraviolet rays, the fiber has a high UV protection function.Through the evaluation of the comfort property, it is seen that in the same condition, moisture absorption, moisture transmission and wet permeability of the fiber knitted fabrics are similar to cotton and general viscose. Comprehensive moisture transmission of knitted fabrics is higher than milk-modified fiber and soybean-protein modified fiber knitted fabrics and inferior to cotton knitted fabrics. Warmth-retention of the fiber knitted fabrics is best.Based on the theory of wicking effect and differential capillary effect, the interlaced fabrics with healthy and high wet permeability functions are designed and good comfort and healthy functions can be obtained.By the tests of warmth-retention, moisture transmission, wet permeability, and fast drying properties of the four kinds of the fabrics, a fuzzy mathematics method is used to evaluate the whole properties of every kind of the fabrics. The results show:in terms of heat and moisture comfort properties of the wicking leisure knitted fabrics, those kinds of the fabrics with skin layer made of hydrophilic rice-protein modified viscose and inside layer made of bamboo-charcoal polyester have good heat and moisture comfort properties; in terms of quick-drying functions of the sports and leisure knitted fabrics with wet permeability and quick-drying functions, those kinds of the fabrics with skin layer made of hydrophilic rice-protein modified viscose and hydrophobic bamboo-charcoal polyester and inside layer made of polyester have good wet permeability and quick-drying functions; in terms of heat and moisture comfort of the mixed effect knitted fabrics, the fabric with skin layer made of hydrophilic rice-protein modified viscose and acrylic/polyester/cotton(63/30/7)blended yarn and inside layer made of bamboo-charcoal polyester has good heat and moisture comfort and quick-drying functions; in terms of warmth-retention and wet permeability function of the fabrics with healthy function, those kinds of the fabrics interweaved with hydrophilic rice-protein modified viscose and hydrophobic polyester with germanium have good quick-drying functions; those kinds of the fabrics interweaved with hydrophilic rice-protein modified viscose and bamboo-charcoal polyester with silver ions have good heat and moisture comfort and warmth-retention. Through the tests of tensile elastic recovery, pilling property, crease recovery performance, bursting properties, rigid and flexible performance and drape coefficient of the fabrics, a grey correlation analysis method are used to deal with the experimentation data of the fabrics' tests and the whole enduring functions are comprehensively evaluated. The results show:The rice-protein modified viscose knitted fabrics has good elastic recovery and small plastic deformation; its pilling grades are not below four, the degree of pilling is slight and the appearance quality of the knitted fabrics are good. The knitted fabrics with good anti-wrinkle, high bursting strength and small bending modulus are easy to bend and soft. The smaller drape coefficient and more wave number make the fabrics to have the smooth lines and aesthetic feeling.
