Fewer teeth gear drive technology breaks the restriction of the least number of teeth in the traditional gear design theory, and the teeth number is down to 2. Based on the technology, involute fewer teeth gear gearing has a higher single-stage transmission ratio, higher efficiency, higher carrying capacity, more compact structure and lighter weight. It is suitable for small and medium power transmission, where the size is restricted and the transmission ratio is higher.It is these advantages make involute fewer teeth gearing more and more, but its applications are not so widespread. The biggest obstacle restricting its application is the machining of fewer teeth gear.In Y38 type hobbing machine, processing fewer teeth gear on gear hobbing machine, due to machine tool spindle and the table of the transmission ratio is quite small, relatively large machine tool drive, drive chain is longer, lower transmission efficiency drive system makes the machine tools, transmission resistance is increased, since the machine will appear locking phenomenon does not work.
